1. STATISTICIANS
2. SYSTEM ANALYSTS
The Chartered Institute of Statisticians of Nigeria (CISON) is the successor statistical body to the Nigerian Statistical Association (NSA). The NSA was established in 1976 and was committed to the development of statistical theory and practice in Nigeria. However, the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria established CISON by ACT No. 38 of 2022 to “Determine the standards of knowledge and skill to be attained by persons seeking to become members of the Institute and review the standards; and for related matters.” Thus, CISON is a professional body that is conceptualized as both a learned institute for Statistics and a professional community of statisticians that would promote the accreditation of statisticians as well as enhance the promotion of statistical culture and practice in Nigeria.
The CISON is therefore, seeking qualified, innovative and highly resourceful individuals to fill positions in the Institute. The individuals must have strong quantitative and research-oriented skills. Applicants must be capable of working with basic Microsoft Office tools and other relevant statistical software packages. Every applicant must also be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written English.
The positions require high-flying, results-oriented individuals with strong interest in statistical activities. Applications are to be submitted to cisonregistrar@cison.org.ng on or before August 18, 2025.
