The Chartered Institute of Statisticians of Nigeria (CISON) brings together professionals in statistics and data science from across Nigeria. Registered Membership
This is the basic entry point for CISON membership and it is open to all those with interest in statistics and the Institute’s objectives. Under this category are:
1. Registered Statistician
2. Student Member
After two years of membership, the Registered Statistician becomes an Associate Statistician (A.Stat.).Professional Membership
After the two years of membership, an Associate Statistician is eligible to begin the sequential examinations to earn the Chartered Statistician status, provided s/he has five years of practical experience in applying statistics. At this stage, they will be reclassified as Examination Associates if they start the process.
Upon successfully earning the Graduate Certificate, they are designated as Chartered Statisticians. Additionally, if a member advances professionally within the Institute, s/he may be elected as a Fellow.
